Supervisor, Loyalty & Personalization

The Loyalty Marketing & Promotion Strategy team is a new team, responsible for creating and implementing loyalty programs across Wakefern. The Supervisor will oversee these loyalty programs, starting with the creation of a new program for the Fairway Banner. This associate will also be responsible for improving and managing current programs across the other Wakefern Banners. They will be working closely with internal teams such as corporate marketing/merchandising and brand strategies, and external providers to curate the best customer experience. The Supervisor needs to understand consumer trends both on a micro and macro level in an effort to effectively target and market towards those customers and improve loyalty. The Supervisor will jointly be responsible for building out requirements and hiring new associates/roles with the Manager of Personalization & Loyalty.


Job responsibilities include:

ยท      Lead loyalty strategy discussions across the organization with all levels of associates

  • Implement and coordinate corporate loyalty programs
  • Drive enrollment, transaction involvement, transaction frequency, and retention through loyalty programs
  • Communicate with membership on upcoming corporate loyalty programs
  • Develop measurement plans and KPI reporting, and recommend steps needed to improve KPIs
  • Connect with procurement and marketing Divisions to ensure consistent voice and strategy
  • Work with cross-functional teams
  • Build out technical requirements with our technology teams for future loyalty programs
  • Create ad hoc analysis for stakeholders 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 4 year College degree required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience required
  • Ability to effectively lead a team
  • Strong background in planning, implementing and managing change
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Curiosity to dig several layers deep into data, have an innate desire to understand key drivers and whether they are the correct or best metric to measure/manage a business or process.
  • Shopper analytic data experience
  • Strategic and highly analytical thinker with excellent organizational skills
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Adheres to project plans, deadlines
  • Experience with development of business requirements for system and report development and design a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience or ability to deliver presentations to management team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate overall company strategies and their impact
